DSJ Remastered Windows + Linux 6d4f0d4d03e5

Release notes
Single-file Windows build: download dsj-remastered-windows-x64.zip, extract it and run dsj-remastered-windows-x64.exe; no separate asset folder is shipped. Error/crash logging is included. Windows performance follow-up: compact shared terrain-ramp textures replace repeated gradient-brush eviction, with batched uploads and reused column geometry. The moving-camera4K regression now records mean and95th-percentile render times while preserving bounded cache memory. Windowed size now persists between launches; Windows also restores position and maximized state with off-screen recovery. Native sound volume editing shows one percent sign, replaces the selected value, accepts0-100, and supports Enter to apply/Escape to cancel. Memory audit: bounded terrain gradient caches on Windows/Linux and deduplicated palette-independent HD image lookups reduce retained rendering resources across hills. Physics and replay data are unchanged. Keyboard navigation: arrow keys select menu controls, Enter activates and Escape returns; Tab/Shift+Tab traverse controls. Live jumps support Left/A and Right/D as mouse buttons, and Up/W and Down/S as vertical mouse movement, with frame-rate-independent held movement and unchanged replay packets. The familiar original-style HD jumper is restored, with a fitted torso, connected neck, profiled helmet/face/goggles, boots/bindings and slimmer ski profiles. Original animation, outfit colours and collision physics are retained. Replay rendering skips duplicate HD frames while keeping controls and slow motion responsive. Window caption renamed DSJ Remastered. Settings, Graphics and Sound now use compact, evenly spaced rows with matching click areas; the Click a value to change instruction is removed. Crash visuals: blood spots are deposited only while a crashed jumper's helmet touches the hill. Works in Classic and Faithful HD, Original and Wide, including4K. Physics, controls, scoring and simulation RNG are unchanged. Tournament audit fixes: a missed final-round start preserves the first-round score; qualification/round disqualifications display DSQ; tournament saves reject invalid outfit colours; save confirmations redraw immediately; final HD standings use the correct palette. Four Hills profile correction: rounded landing knolls keep flights closer to the snow, and a lower competition gate reins in Bischofshofen. Published full inrun dimensions remain intact. Physics, controls and the original32 hills are unchanged; older tournament replays retain their original profile revision. Adds240 controlled trajectory regression cases across five CPU levels and both wind directions. New Four Hills Tournament below World Cup: Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, with qualification, 25 KO pairs, lucky losers, a final and cumulative competition jump scores. Cutoff ties, long-fall qualifiers, disqualifications and KO tie rules are handled. Classic/HD results and KO draws scroll across the full field, and a separate completed-event save resumes the next venue. New hill profiles approximate published venue dimensions; surveyed geometry, modern gate/wind compensation and weather cancellation are not simulated. Physics and controls are preserved. See analysis/four-hills-audit-2026-10-17.md. Default CPU difficulty now follows final2025/26 placing: top5 Superb,6-15 Good,16-30 Average,31-40 Poor and41-49 Poorest. Existing default opponents receive a one-time upgrade; custom names and non-default skills are retained. The intro now displays Remastered Edition in Classic and HD, preserving the original logo animation and audio timing. Default CPU opponents now use the top49 names from the final 2025/26 World Cup standings for men, with long names shortened to initials and custom saved names retained. World Cup now supports 50 competitors, four player-editor pages and scrollable results in Classic and Faithful HD. The top 30 (including ties at the cutoff) advance to the final in reverse first-round order. Season points use the individual World Cup table: 100 for first through 1 for 30th, zero below 30th, with full shared-rank points for ties. Native roster/checkpoint extensions preserve legacy formats and import old cups. Physics, controls, replay simulation and Team Cup remain unchanged. Follow-up HD graphics audit: replay hover borders preserve icons, pause/team-colour highlights retain their layering, settings borders use their original fade colours, and pause/save panels dim the actual scene. Upper ramp surfaces use fractional render heights, the original ski grooves are restored in HD, adjacent ramp bands remain separate, and start lamps have native circular edges. Original shapes, composition, physics and controls remain the baseline. Includes the native-game audit fixes: HD pause framebuffer lifetime, curved-terrain shading seams, coloured text spacing, graphics-device recovery, continuous inrun/landing edges and native replay icons. Headless checks leave player/display data unchanged. Settings > Graphics offers Windowed / Full Screen, Original / Wide (16:9), and Faithful HD / Classic. HD retains the original photograph, logo, palette, layout, tree families, scenery and skier pose. Physics and controls are unchanged. F10 opens Settings; Alt+Enter / F11 toggles fullscreen. Clean first run: PLAYER 1 is human, remaining competitors are CPU opponents, and no personal names, records, saved cups or personal replays are packaged. Download and extract the Windows ZIP, then run the single EXE inside. Artwork, fonts and sounds are embedded and loaded directly from memory. The game creates a data folder for user settings, saves and replays, preserving existing user files. If its directory is not writable it uses LocalAppData. No installation or asset extraction is required. Built on gh-runner. CI verifies all 38 complete original replay traces (4,586,174 values per run), also with HD rendering interleaved, 324 HD scenes including hover/dialog/start-light states, four-venue tournament and competition/replay/settings workflows and Windows-only runtime imports. Wine is used only on the Linux CI test host. The game runs natively on Windows without an emulator or key. See the release verification JSON files and the source audit report in analysis/game-audit-2026-10-17.md.

Native Ubuntu and Debian amd64 packages: Select the package matching Ubuntu 22.04/24.04/26.04 or Debian 12/13. Install with sudo apt install ./dsj-remastered-DISTRO-VERSION-amd64.deb; APT installs its declared runtime libraries, fonts and certificates. Each package is compiled against that distribution and its shared-library dependencies are detected from the executable. Release assets include per-distribution replay, packaging and ordinary-user installation reports. SDL2 input/audio, Cairo/Pango HD and protocol-2 relay multiplayer share the Windows simulation. HD currently uses CPU rendering; smooth fullscreen 4K, physical desktop/audio and Wayland validation remain. ARM64 gameplay is not verified.
